Foster Care Mental Health
Counseling services are provided to children and adolescents who are in foster care. Counseling helps children adjust to foster care and the trauma of being removed from their home. Counseling also assists foster parents to respond to the needs of the child while they are in foster care. Counseling also addresses the abuse or neglect children may have experienced leading up to foster care placement.
Services Include: Individual and group counseling. Support to foster parents.
Referrals are made by foster care case managers.
