T.E.A.M. Attendance-Truancy Reduction Outreach

Together Everyone Achieves More (T.E.A.M.), through expert counselors, T.E.A.M. attendance is making breakthroughs in helping families overcome issues that lead to truancy problems for their child. There are many reasons why students do not make it to school. Many times these absences are beyond their control. Child and Family Specialists work with local school districts to assist families in identifying issues around getting their child to school on time and attend school every day. A student in Michigan is considered truant if they have 10 or more unexcused absences from school in any given year. This program is highly effective in helping parents and students reduce the number of absences the child has each year and in identifying and addressing the underlying reasons for the absences.
